The Arkansas Union remains partially open to serve the needs of students, faculty and staff during these unusual circumstances. The International Connections Lounge and Living Room are open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. Custodial staff will be present at all times to ensure appropriate sanitation and proactive cleanliness measures are taken. Union staff have placed all the furniture, chairs and tables 6 feet apart to make sure that those who do use the space, can maintain social distancing. Additionally, we are keeping a staff presence at the Information Desk during operational hours to help answer questions.

Additionally, the post office on the first floor remains open. Any individuals seeking passports, or any departments wanting to pick up mail, may come to the first-floor south door (near the parking garage) and will be allowed access through the door Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We ask that patrons limit their activities to post office-related business and not further enter the building from this doorway.

The computer lab located next to the Living Room remains open for those who need printing, computer access, or on-the-spot help with any university technology or resources. Laptop checkout has temporarily been moved from the technology center to this open location. IT Services offers online chat with tech support for those who are accessing campus resources off campus. Information about this service, including hours and availability, can be found at: its.uark.edu/chat/index.php

At this time Club Red and Hill Coffee Co. located in the Union are open 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. No other dining locations in the Union are open at this time.

While the Union awaits further instruction from university and health department officials on a potential return to normalcy, university entities and student organizations may still continue to make plans and reservations for fall events at this time. Reservations may be made at unionevents.uark.edu, and anyone seeking assistance with their reservation may email auevents@uark.edu. Event Services staff members are monitoring these request avenues and are available by email or phone to provide assistance and make modifications as needed for the fall semester.

The Arkansas Union is a department within the Division of Student Affairs.
