Graduate Students Needed as Abstract Judges

The Undergraduate Research Poster Competition is seeking graduate student judges to evaluate abstracts from students seeking selection for the poster competition. Undergraduate students will submit one abstract of their research projects in one of nine academic categories. Judges will read and score abstracts, choosing three finalists in each of the nine categories.

Judging will take place on March 3 in Gearhart Hall 149. Lunch will be served from 11-11:30 a.m. and judging will continue until 1 p.m. Once judges have completed their reviews, they may leave. Expected total review time is estimated at roughly one hour.

This is the first year of the competition, thus the expected number of submitted abstracts in each category is unknown. Abstract submissions are due on March 1. To be respectful of your time, we will contact you on March 2 to confirm whether or not we need your assistance to review on March 3.

The quick interest form asks for your academic background, which category or categories you feel qualified to judge, and for any dietary restrictions.

The Research Poster Competition is sponsored by the Honors College, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, and the Office of Undergraduate Research.
