Jan. 5 Power Outage to Interrupt Online Services
University online services will be impacted during a generator test being performed by Facilities Management on Sunday, Jan. 5, in the Administrative Services Building (ADSB), which houses the campus Data Center.
IT Services will begin shutting down Data Center services and systems at 6 a.m. before the building loses power at 9 a.m.
Services including wired and wireless internet (Wi-Fi) on the ADSB network, BASIS/webBASIS, UAConnect, Razorbuck$ (Transact), Perceptive Content, Nebula, UARK Central Login, OmniUpdate, some university websites will be unavailable during the testing period.
All systems will be brought back online once power is restored. Core services are expected to be operational by 5 p.m. on January 5; some systems could take longer. Outages could extend into the evening if issues arise during the testing period. An all-clear message will be provided once systems are verified.
Service impact updates and additional details about the outage will be posted on the IT Status Monitor and at help.uark.edu.
