Take a Break from Studying with CAPS' End-of-Semester Play Day

Take a much-needed break from studying and join Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for its much-anticipated end-of-the-semester event — Play Day!

Play Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge.

"This is easily one of our favorite and most popular events of the year because we get to help students learn how to practice relaxing techniques," said Kendra Glasper, CAPS outreach coordinator. "Managing stress can be difficult, but finding fun, engaging activities and tools to de-stress shouldn't be.

Play Day consists of a fun-filled afternoon with the goal of helping students take the edge off of looming finals, and learn about stress-relieving tips to help them better succeed academically. CAPS will also have on-site clinicians available to talk with students.

Activities include: henna tattoos, yoga demonstrations, coloring, Legos, popping bubble wrap, and of course play dates with dogs from Fayetteville Animal Services (on-campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Free food will also be available.
