Experience the diverse culture of France in Global Series: France at 8 p.m. today in the Holcombe Living Room.

Learn about the different regions in France and the rich subcultures that come from various regional identities. The evening features a short presentation by domestic and international students and staff followed by a sampling of some traditional French dishes.

"The French culture is not monolithic," said presenter and international graduate student Pauline Morin. "France is made up of different regions that offer a different set of practices and delicacies which in turn influences diverse experiences and identities."

France is located in mainland Europe, northeast of Spain and southwest of Germany. It is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations in contemporary history.

"Learn a few French words and pronunciation! Get to know the beauty of Brittany, Le Grand Est, destinations outside of Paris and exciting road trips to the south of France," Morin said.

This event is open to all within the university community. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and engage with the presenters after the presentation.

Global Series is an ongoing program, and France is the second to the last installment for the fall semester.
