Make A Difference Day 2019 is this Saturday, Oct. 26. The Volunteer Action Center will host the university's biggest single day of service of the year with more than 30 partner agencies and projects.

Last year our more than 900 Make A Difference Day volunteers logged 3,470 hours and generated an economic impact of $85,674. This year's projects include everything from clean-ups to gardening to stocking and sorting thrift store items and helping set up for community events. Volunteers can sign up for projects through the university's GivePulse site and search based on location and interest area. Some projects may be outside so volunteers are suggested to wear warm, comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.

The day kicks off in front of the Arkansas Union at 8 a.m. with free breakfast and snacks for volunteers, who will pick up a T-shirt and sign in with their project leaders before moving to the project site.

Join the university for this annual tradition and help make a difference on campus and around northwest Arkansas.
