New Online Sexual Misconduct Training Available for Employees

As part of the University of Arkansas' ongoing and continuous commitment to campus safety and well-being, the Title IX office is launching an online training program designed to inform participants about sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking, as well as our roles and the resources available both on and off campus.

To support these efforts and further our commitment, we strongly encourage all faculty and staff to complete the training. The University of Arkansas has partnered with EverFi to provide the training that will satisfy the federal requirements as mandated by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 and Title IX, and will further explain the mandatory reporting obligations of all University employees.

You will receive important notifications of training opportunities and registration details by email from EverFi.  Your participation will allow us to better track the University's training efforts regarding prevention of sexual assault.

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits any form of discrimination based on a person's gender. This specifically means that Title IX prohibits incidents such as: Sexual Assault/Misconduct, Sexual Harassment, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Stalking, discrimination based on pregnancy, and more. 

The training will last approximately forty-five minutes. You will have the option to pause and return to the training course at a later time if you get interrupted or are otherwise unable to complete the course in one sitting.  Individuals needing accommodation with respect to the completion of this course should contact the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance (OEOC), at 479-575-4019 (voice); email: oeoc@uark.edu.  The compliance officer in the OEOC is the central campus resource for employees who require reasonable accommodations in order to access the programs, services and activities offered through the University.
