Online Services Impacted During Facilities Maintenance

University online services will be impacted during an upgrade to the emergency generator transfer switch in the Administrative Services Building (ADSB) building. The project is scheduled over the course of eight days and will include two 12-hour service outages.

Note: The following dates are subject to change due to weather. Updated information will be provided on the IT Status Monitor page.

Starting at 6 a.m. Sunday, October 6, the building will lose power for up to 12 hours while work is done to prepare for the new generator transfer switch. As upgrades are performed over the following week, ADSB will rely solely on utility power without an emergency generator. If an unexpected power outage were to occur due to storms or other causes, systems would be impacted.

The next 12-hour power outage will begin at 6 a.m. Sunday, October 13, while the new generator switch is deployed. The generator will undergo testing before systems are fully restored.

SERVICE IMPACTS AND UPDATES

During each 12-hour power outage, most services will remain online, however, the following will be unavailable: BASIS/webBASISUAConnectRazorbuck$ (Transact), Perceptive ContentNebula, UARK Central Login, OmniUpdate and some university websites, as well as SAP and SAS systems for Walton College of Business.

Following each power outage, an all-clear message will be provided once systems are verified. Service impact updates will be shared on the IT Status Monitor page and at help.uark.edu.
