Facing Bias: Exposing Blind Spots and Engaging in Action

The IDEALS Institute will host Facing Bias: Exposing Blind Spots/Engaging Action. Facing Bias is a highly interactive workshop designed to foster awareness, clarity, reflection and discussion about the concepts of diversity, inclusion, equity, access, unconscious/implicit bias and blind spots, through participant engagement in large and small group discussions.

Participants will be invited to collaborate in learning by sharing experiences, questions and perspectives related to workshop content in a thoughtfully facilitated environment.

Participants will leave with resources to help guide further reflection, conversation and action to counter unconscious/implicit bias and to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

The workshop will be 1:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Arkansas Union 201. Faculty, students and staff may register for the training at https://bit.ly/2kBDj9M.
