Whether you are surviving or thriving in grad school, consider joining a grad student support group. InterVarsity invites you to its first graduate and faculty meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5. See details below.
- Dates: Every other Thursday starting Sept. 5.
- Times: 7-8:30 p.m.
- Place: 616 W. Moan Place, Fayetteville.
- Snacks will be provided.
In these bi-weekly meetings students/faculty will share their struggles, encourage one another, spend time in meditation and mindfulness activities, and challenge themselves to try to understand the master of masters and the ultimate creator of all things novel through a discussion of the various attributes of God using A.W. Tozer's book The Knowledge of the Holy as a guide. You do not have to be a Christian to participate. Just come and explore, and then decide if you want to keep coming. Your problems will not be solved just by attending this group, but sometimes shifting the focus from ourselves and on to God can help alleviate some stress.
The purpose of these meetings is to de-stress, think deeply, share, and care with our fellows in academia, and form life-long relationships.
This group is being hosted by two Ph.D. students at the U of A.
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a registered student organization at the U of A and is a multi-ethnic family seeking to follow Jesus on campus and beyond. More Information.
