Tech Spotlight: You're More than Just a Guest, Use UARK Wi-Fi

UARK Wi-Fi is the fastest, most secure Wi-Fi network on campus.

UARK Wi-Fi is the fastest, most secure Wi-Fi network on campus.

Now that the semester is several weeks in, IT Services wants to remind students, faculty and staff to use the UARK Wi-Fi network, not the guest Wi-Fi.

UARK Wi-Fi is the fastest, most secure Wi-Fi network on campus. To connect, select the network on your device and log in with your UARK username and password. Visit Campus Wi-Fi for setup instructions on how to connect various devices (Windows, Mac, mobile, etc.).

The UARK Guest Wi-Fi network is intended for parents, vendors and other visitors to campus. Connections expire after 8 hours, and access to internal private networks is strictly prohibited.

Trouble Connecting?

If you have trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, "forget" the network on your device and then try again. If your device still can't connect, visit help.uark.edu, stop by one of the Tech Spot computer labs, or call 479-575-HELP.

What about Special-use Devices?

UARK Registered is the special-use wireless network for devices that cannot otherwise connect to UARK Wi-Fi. These devices include Apple TVs, wireless TVs, gaming consoles, etc. Registration is limited to ten devices per user.

IT Services provides technology services to the University of Arkansas in pursuit of research, discovery and student success.
