Fiona Slaughter

University of Arkansas music student Fiona Slaughter is actively participating in three international festivals this summer. She was selected, through a competitive audition, to study at the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy, which takes place every June in British Columbia. Students are chosen from all over the world to gather for a festival of orchestral and chamber music.

In July, Fiona was selected to perform on two master classes at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Tampa, and in August she will be attending the British Isles Music Festival in England. This festival also brings emerging young musicians from around the world for chamber music and master classes with renowned artists.

Fiona is an oboe student of professor Theresa Delaplain in the Department of Music at the University of Arkansas.
