Dr. Jeyam Subbiah
University of Arkansas

Dr. Jeyam Subbiah

The faculty, staff and students in the Department of Food Science are excited to welcome our new department head, Dr. Jeyam Subbiah. Prior to joining the University of Arkansas, Subbiah was a Kenneth E. Morrison Distinguished Professor of Food Engineering in the departments of Food Science and Technology and Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His top priorities in the department are to increase undergraduate enrollment, grow extramural funding and enhance industry interactions.

The department would also like to sincerely thank Wayne Mackay, department head of Horticulture, who served as the interim department head for almost one and half years.
