VPN Client Replacement Begins
IT Services is gradually replacing the Pulse Secure VPN client with GlobalProtect from Palo Alto Networks. Campus VPN users are encouraged to begin switching to GlobalProtect now.
Pulse Secure is out of support and at its end of life, making it increasingly expensive to maintain. The new GlobalProtect solution offers several benefits, including:
- Increased security to protect university network resources
- Integration with our established Palo Alto Networks security environment
- Compatibility for Linux operating systems
To get started with GlobalProtect VPN, visit the Off-campus Network Access (VPN) page.
Pulse Secure will remain available until July 1, 2019. After that time, it will stop connecting to campus resources and GlobalProtect will be the only VPN option available.
