UA Music Hosts Andy Green for Music Business Guest Lecture

The Department of Music is proud to host Andy Green for a guest lecture for students interested in the music industry. Green's talk is scheduled for 11:50 a.m. Friday, March 8, in the Choir Room (MUSC 335) in the Music Building. 

Green is a Bentonville resident who relocated from Northern California to Northwest Arkansas to take on work as an adviser and manager in the region. Green has over 45 years of experience in the entertainment, television, hospitality, special event/facility management and development fields. Some professional highlights include 11 years as the Road, Tour and Production Manager of REO Speedwagon, six years as event manager for the University of Illinois Assembly Hall, and six years as the GM of the Redding Convention Center and Visitors Bureau in California.

Green's talk is a part of a new series on campus to bring music business professionals to campus to help students discover ways to engage in the music industry from various backgrounds. With the music industry growing in new and exciting ways, these lectures will help students learn from professionals working in the business. 

The talk is free and open to the public.
