Spring semester volunteer applications are now open for three of the Volunteer Action Center's signature programs.

The Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry needs volunteers to help greet clients, fill orders and stock donations for weekly two-hour shifts.

The Passionate About Learning (P.A.L.) Program has opportunities for volunteer mentors, who go to local elementary schools once a week and lead educational activities with students after school. P.A.L. also has open spots for lead mentors, experienced volunteers who help supervise and coordinate afterschool programs twice a week.

Razorback Food Recovery has open positions for weekly volunteers and lead volunteers to help recover, package and distribute surplus food during hourly shifts.

Applications for Full Circle and P.A.L. close this Friday, Jan. 18. Early applications for Razorback Food Recovery will close on Saturday, Jan. 26, but stay open on a rolling basis throughout the semester.
