The campus community and members of the public are invited to a free webinar at noon Tuesday, Dec. 18, about how to help groups work more effectively.

This webinar is part of the Engineering and Operations Management Lunch and Learn Webinar Series.

The webinar, titled "Group Facilitation," will be presented by Terry Bresnick, an adjunct instructor in the M.S. in Operations Management program. Bresnick has more than 40 years of experience in applying the techniques of decision analysis to complex problems of government and industry.

Working well in a group is an art. Making group decisions usually includes time pressure, high stakes and conflicted objectives. Whether you hold a leadership role at work, or you've ever been on a team of any kind, you can relate to this webinar.

The webinar will focus on understanding the basics of group facilitation, and how to help diverse groups reach a consensus on a wide variety of topics. During the session, Bresnick will share ways to facilitate the groups in your life to make what he calls "informed consensus based on an open exchange of information."

Bresnick is a consultant in the private sector and executive senior analyst at Innovative Decisions, Inc., a company that he co-founded and previously led as President/CEO, and is currently President of Innovative Decision Analysis.

The webinar will begin at noon. Registration is required at this link:  https://tinyurl.com/ycvp4gel
