Libraries to Host Write-Ins for National Novel Writing Month
November is National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo. This international event encourages aspiring authors to set a goal of writing 50,000 words in 30 days. In celebration, University Libraries and the local NaNoWriMo region will host write-ins from 5-9 p.m. Nov. 6, 13 and 20 in Mullins Library Room 302B. All are welcome to come spend time with fellow writers and work toward this goal.
Two Meet and Greet events will be held Saturday, Oct. 27. The first will begin at 10 a.m. at the Starbucks located at 2410 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. The second will begin at 2 p.m. at the Starbucks located at 1401 S. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville. Attendees will be able to ask questions about NaNoWriMo and meet those with whom they will be writing in November.
The local NaNoWriMo region will also host a kick-off party with food and games at United Campus Ministry, located at 902 W. Maple St., starting at 10 p.m. on Oct. 31. Writing will begin at midnight.
