Students to Speak Today About Sexual-Consent Research

Toby Klein and Alejandra Kaplan, University of Arkansas students who conduct research in the Sexual Education and Consent Studies Laboratory, will present their research from 3 to 4 p.m. today, Oct. 5 in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Research Building.
Klein's presentation is titled "Are we really miscommunicating? Understanding refusal cues used by students who did and did not experience sex post-refusal."
Kaplan's presentation is titled "You can always just tell when someone isn't feeling it: Understanding College Students Definitions of Non-Consent and Sexual Refusal."
The presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department.
