Research Compliance Office Presents Seminar Series

The Office of Research Compliance is offering a series of seminars on various research topics. These seminars are open to faculty, students and other members of the university community who are interested in research compliance.

The first seminar in the series covers research with human subjects. Participants will learn what types of projects qualify as human subjects research and how researchers obtain approval for human subjects research from the Institutional Review Board, or IRB. This seminar will take place at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 in room 486 of Mullins Library. Participants can register for the seminar on the Human Resources website.

The second seminar addresses export control issues. The seminar will cover what types of research are affected by export controls and what items or information are subject to control. This seminar will take place at 1 p.m. on Oct. 18 in room 486 of Mullins Library. Participants can register for the seminar on the Human Resources website.

Future topics will be announced on the research compliance website.
