Army ROTC Cadets Keep Busy During Summer

Although a trip to the beach might be included, there were many other fun activities that cadets from the university's Army ROTC, Razorback Battalion, were involved in during the summer months. Here's a list of a few of their shenanigans:

• Twelve cadets attended Advanced Camp and eight cadets attended Basic Camp at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and respresented Razorback Battalion well. 
• Three cadets attended Cadet Troop Leader Training, with Hawaii being one location for this training. 
• Cadet Nathan Ley attended Combat Diver Qualification Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and said that he wishes he was still there, he enjoyed it so much.
• Four cadets were privileged to travel in the Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency program, offered through ROTC, to locations like Latvia and Romania. They worked with troops from these other lands and learn about the culture as well as taught English to the locals.
• Cadet Jacob Adel attended Air Assault School at Fort Benning, Georgia and will proudly wear that badge on his uniform throughout his military career.
• Several cadets participated in internships over the summer, one of which included a trip to Belize. Some of those internships are on-going.
• Four former cadets commissioned into the U.S. Army over the summer: 2LT Abby McVay, 2LT Jake Ellis, 2LT Christian Bradley and 2LT Gabriel Bogdanoff.
• Razorback Battalion also had two cadets marry their loves over the summer.
