Training Programs Help Professionals Advance in Careers or Find New Ones

ROGERS, Ark. – Professionals can enroll in dozens of workforce development training classes and workshops at the Global Campus in Rogers to help them become more proficient in their current jobs or gain the skills needed to find new ones.

Professionals can register online for classes in computer and technology training, human resource development, advanced information technology, and education.

A sample of this fall’s workforce development classes and workshops, dates and costs include:

  • Society for Human Resource Management Learning System, 16-week course begins Aug. 23, $1,299
  • Microsoft Excel and Access Parts 1-3, one-day classes, hands-on, instructor-led, multiple dates, $159 each
  • Innovative Management Series: Transitioning to Manager, one-day class, Sept. 7, $249
  • Administrative Assistant Program, 10-week course begins Aug. 21, $1,599
  • Culture for Educators, a series of training modules for educators who teach English as a second language, August through October, $60 per module
  • Concealed Carry, Safety and Privacy in the Workplace, one-day class, Sept. 11, $149
  • Tableau Part 1, two-day course, hands-on, instructor-led, Sept. 18, $549
  • Delivering Outstanding Customer Service, Sept. 21, $299
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop CC, one-day class, hands-on, instructor-led, multiple dates, $199 each
  • Strategies for Dealing with Difficult People and Conflict Negotiation, Oct. 2, $299
  • Business Communications Certificate Program, Oct. 3, $459
  • Cyber Security: A System Approach, three-day course, Oct. 16-18, $499
  • Innovative Management Series: Recruiting, Interviewing, Hiring and Onboarding, one-day class, Oct. 26, $249
  • Introduction to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Oct. 30, $199 for Arkansas residents or $299 for out-of-state residents
  • Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in the Workplace, Nov. 2, $299
  • Microsoft Power BI, two-day course, hands-on, instructor-led, Nov. 7, $499
  • Microsoft Excel Data Analysis with PivotTables and Power Tools, one-day class, hands-on, instructor-led, Nov. 16, $199

U of A faculty, staff and current students can receive a 10 percent discount. A full list of classes and workshops are available on the Global Campus Rogers website. The Rogers team works with U of A faculty and area business and industry leaders to develop relevant, practical workforce training programs. The team also provides customized training created to meet an organization’s specific training needs.
