Parking Lot Upgrades and Updates

As a result of summer upgrades, several parking areas on campus will be designated differently for the 2018-19 school year.

In the northeast portion of campus, green student parking lots are becoming red resident reserved lots or yellow faculty/staff lots.

This change was made for two reasons: (1) the construction of new sorority housing on Maple Street created a need for more resident reserved parking in that part of campus, and (2) the green student parking in that area was very limited, causing many students to waste time by looking around for parking spaces that were not available.

With no green student parking in that area, students with that kind of permit will not need to waste part of their commute navigating through what is often a congested area.

Specifically, Lot 31N will become Lot 31 and Lot 35N will become Lot 35. Both have been set aside for resident reserved parking. These lots are located south of Taylor Street and North of Douglas Street.

Lot 78 and 78A — located on the south side of Douglas between Whitham Avenue and Gregg Avenue—will be for faculty and staff with a yellow permit.

Lot 38 — between Maple and Douglas — has been upgraded to provide more parking for faculty/staff yellow permit holders and blue reserved permit holders. This lot will open on Monday, Aug. 6.

On the south end of campus near Martin Luther King Blvd., Lots 54, 54A, and 63 have been reworked and will be Lot 54. This expanded lot will provide more parking for faculty/staff yellow permit holders in this area of campus.

Lot 44, north of Reynolds Razorback Stadium, is being resurfaced and will remain an area for faculty and staff with a yellow permit. A portion of Lot 44 is also set aside for blue reserved permit holders.

Lot 29 — north of Maple and behind the Pat Walker Health Center — is being resurfaced and will remain an area designated for blue reserved permit holders.

Lot 99 — on Beechwood Avenue near Baum Stadium — is being resurfaced so that it will hold an additional 1,000 spaces. The lot is set up for remote parking permit holders, but anyone with a UA parking permit may park there. Vehicles that are legally parked in Lot 99 do not have to be moved for UA athletic events.

In addition, Lot 99 will be served by a Razorback Transit bus every 14 minutes during peak periods.
