The Arkansas Academy of Industrial Engineering hosted its 32nd Annual Banquet and Induction Ceremony, Friday evening, April 20, at the Chancellor Hotel in Fayetteville. More than 230 members, family, faculty, students and staff were present.

This year featured the first ever, athletic themed program, with 'Coach' Vance Clement overseeing the festivities.

The AAIE provides a generous number of scholarships each year for the students of the Industrial Engineering Department, this year was no exception, with the accumulated scholarship gifts totaling more than $100,000. Also this year, the Academy marked the year with more than $2.2 million in scholarship endowments. Several of the scholarship recipients participated in producing a video explaining the impact the scholarship had on them and their families and thanking donors for their gifts.

In addition to this, the Academy also recognized donors including David and Sheila Humphrey, C. Ray and Kela Asfahl, Vance and Sherrill Clement, Tim and Kelly McKenzie, Ed and Tish Pohl, Ami F. Spivey, Tarek and Susanna Taha and Martha L. Wolf. The recognition of Imhoff Fellow was given to the following members: Ben and Tara Dye, Jeff and Tonda Ervin, Drew and Julia Harrison, Gary W. and Lana Taber Hunt, Joel and Karen Jewell, Angela Harrison Kuli, Pam McGinnis, Kevin and Alethea Arnold McManus and John and Bonnie Swayze.

There was also a Memorial Scholarship given in honor of Jennifer Jesson Karber. Representing Ms. Karber for the honor were her mother, son, sister and brother-in-law.

The AAIE inducted nine new members at this year's ceremony. These members are recognized as distinguished graduates of the Industrial Engineering Department for their sustained and outstanding contributions to the industrial engineering profession.
