Summer parking modifications are approved
A number of construction projects on campus at the University of Arkansas during the summer months will close certain parking areas to motorists.
Other areas will be designated for use by any drivers that are displaced in the process.
The parking changes were approved on April 18 by the Transit, Parking, and Traffic Committee.

Much of the movement will involve individuals who park on the northern end of campus, as specified below.
Lots 14, 14A, and 14D, on the corner of Arkansas Avenue and Maple Street, will be closed for the summer. Lots 14B and 14C will remain open.
Lots 35 and 38, on the southeast corner of Leverett and Douglas streets, will be closed for reconstruction during the summer months. Lot 31, east of lot 35, will be inaccessible during that time.
Parking for individuals who would ordinarily use those areas will be provided as follows: resident reserved lot 34 will be re-designated as a faculty/staff lot for the summer. Resident reserved lot 39 will be re-designated for F reserved permit holders for the summer.
In addition, lots 31 North, 35 North, 78, and 78A will be re-designated as faculty/staff.
Lot 44, north of Razorback Stadium, is another major area that will be closed during the summer.
Individuals who would usually park there will have several options: Resident reserved lot 40A, on Cleveland Street, will be redesignated as faculty/staff parking for the summer. In addition, resident reserved lots 37, 40, 41, 42, 50, and 75 will be available to faculty and staff for the summer.
In other words, lots 37, 40, 41, 42, 50, and 75 will be open to both students and faculty/staff, provided they have the appropriate permit (yellow, blue, or red).
On the south end of campus, remote lot 99 will be under construction all summer. Remote permit holders will park in lot 56.
In addition, there are a couple of other changes that will involve only a few permit holders, and Transit and Parking will contact those particular individuals by email at the appropriate time.
