Temporary Wi-Fi Change in J.B. Hunt Building
In preparation for an upcoming campus network upgrade, the UARK Wi-Fi network in the J.B. Hunt Building will be temporarily replaced by a proof-of-concept network named 'JBHT-WIFI.'
Starting Sunday, April 15, users entering the J.B. Hunt building will need to select the JBHT-WIFI network and log in using their UARK account as they would for UARK Wi-Fi. This is only necessary as users connect each device for the first time.
The temporary Wi-Fi network is expected to be in place through June before it goes back to UARK Wi-Fi.
"The network team is working toward improving the reliability of the network as a foundation for future services," Elon Turner, director of infrastructure for IT Services, said. "This is the first step in the process of creating a stronger, more dependable connection for the entire University of Arkansas community."
Students, faculty and staff should continue to use Wi-Fi on campus as they normally would and report any performance issues to IT Services.
