New Professor to Discuss Research on Prescription Opioid Misuse
Robert E. Davis, a University of Arkansas assistant professor of public health, will give a research presentation titled "Intentions to Misuse Prescription Opioid Pain Relieving Drugs for Recreational Purposes: An Application of the Theory of Planned Behavior" from 3 to 4 p.m. March 2 in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Research Building.
Davis joined the faculty of the College of Education and Health Professions in January. He holds doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Mississippi.
The presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department.
