Fast Track for Spanish Speakers: Pre-Registration

Students with native or near native Spanish proficiency who were enrolled at the U of A before fall 2017 may take a fast track exam to earn Spanish credit for the following courses: SPAN 3003, 3033, and 4003.

Students with native or near native Spanish proficiency who started classes at the U of A during or after the fall 2017 may take a shorter exam to earn credit for SPAN 3003 and 3033.

All students must demonstrate advanced proficiency in reading and writing. The qualification is based primarily on the linguistic skills of the student, not their ethnicity or nationality.

The deadline for pre-registration is March 15. The exam will be administered at 3:30 p.m. April 5 in PHYS 133.

Pre-registration is required.
