Doctoral Students to Give Presentations Friday About Sexual Consent Research
Three University of Arkansas doctoral students in community health promotion will give presentations on their research from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Research Building.
The students will present the same talks at the annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. They are members of the Sexuality Education and Consent Studies Lab, and Kristen Jozkowski is their faculty adviser.
Mary Hunt will give a presentation titled "Rachel and Brett walk into a bar …: Examination of college students' perceptions of 'outside the bedroom' consent in vignettes."
Tiffany Marcantonio will give a presentation titled "I asked him. A qualitative investigation of how men who have sex with men consent to sexual activity."
Malachi Willis will give a presentation titled "Let's Not Talk about Sex, Baby: A Daily Diary Study of Sexual Precedent's Effect on Sexual Consent Communication."
The presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department.
