Recharge and Refuel Station in the University Career Development Center.

Students who schedule appointments or stop-by for Walk-in Wednesday reviews in the University Career Development Center in the Arkansas Union 607, can take advantage of our Recharge and Refuel Station! Need your cell phone charged? Check! Want a quick snack or water before your appointment? Check! Just want to take advantage of some fun freebies left by recruiters? Check! Check! Check!

The Recharge and Refuel Station was inspired by Walton Career Services who received positive feedback from students about their own refuel station. Not only did it help meet student's basic needs, but the center was able to display and giveaway swag leftover by recruiters from the career fair. It's a win-win!

Examples of items found in the Recharge and Refuel Station might include granola bars, bottled water, pens, stress balls, T-shirts, candy, cups, and more!

Remember, the University Career Development Center can assist with all of your career-related needs!  According to the National Association of Colleges and Employer's (NACE) 2010 Student Survey, "the more frequently a senior used career services, the more likely he/she would receive a job offer." Of the students who were career center users, 71 percent received job offers as compared to just under 29 percent who received offers and had not used the career center. Our own data indicate that UA students who utilized career services 2016-2017, had a 87 percent retention rate.

Students can schedule an appointment by calling the center at 479-575-2805, stopping by on Walk-in Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. for a quick resume review or mock interview, or log into to Handshake and click "Career Center" at the top.
