When Is It OK to Say No?

Careers within academic institutions include more than just teaching and office hours. The so-called "alternative-academic" positions require more than just "doing your job."

Professors David Joliffe, Lisa Hinrichsen and Toni Jensen will discuss other responsibilities that university employees who provide academic support may be asked to take on as part of their new careers as well as when it is OK to say "no" to some of those requests.

If you have any concerns about how to prioritize your workload in your careers, please come to Kimpel 713 from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, to listen to our speakers and ask questions about navigating post-gradutate opportunities. Lunch will be provided.
