The student chapter of the Red Cross will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 5-6, in the Verizon Ballroom of the Arkansas Union. 

"Every 2 seconds, someone within the United States requires a blood transfusion," said Erich Pulfer, treasurer and social media coordinator for the UA Red Cross student chapter. "With the recent disasters that have struck across the globe, blood is in even higher demand now. We as an RSO have worked hand in hand with the national American Red Cross organization to set up a blood drive."

"Every blood donation can save up to three lives," Pulfer said. "We would love to see our fellow students save as many as they possibly could."
