Presentations Today to Cover STEM Career Opportunities, Student Research
University of Arkansas staff member Cynthia Sides and doctoral student Mary Hunt will give presentations from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.
Sides, director of the Office of Industry Engagement, will give a talk titled "STEM Profession Awareness, Advancement and Development: Faculty and Student Opportunities."
Hunt, a member of the Sexuality Education and Consent Studies Laboratory, will give a research presentation titled "Shifting Abortion Attitudes Using an Empathy-based Media Intervention: A Randomized Control Study." Her adviser is Kristen Jozkowski.
The presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department.
