FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Police Department’s K9 Division is getting a boost from a local Whataburger restaurant.

The division needs money for the general care of Officers Dingo, Oakley, Leah and Orry – as well as to buy a new Handler Protection Training suit.

To help out, the Whataburger on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will host “Oh What a Night” from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

For those three hours 20 percent of all sales will be donated to the UAPD.

Everyone is invited to drop in, have a meal, meet the K9s and their handlers, get a look at a K9 patrol vehicle and watch live demonstrations by the team – which will show you why they need a new Handler Protection Training suit.
