Lyrique Quintette to Perform at Stage 18 in Fayetteville

The Lyrique Quintette will perform "Arrivals and Departures: Music of the Americas" at Stage 18 in Fayetteville at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13. This year, the quintet, which is the faculty woodwind quintet in residence at the University of Arkansas, will be recording and producing a CD featuring music by composers from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Uruguay, and Argentina. On April 13 they will perform selections from this repertoire, include composers Paquito d'Rivera, Mathieu Lussier, Robert Mueller, and Mario Lavista.

Members of the quintet are Ronda Mains, flute; Theresa Delaplain, oboe; Nophachai Cholthitchanta, clarinet; Timothy Thompson, french horn; and Lia Uribe, bassoon.

Stage 18 is a new concert venue at 18 East Center Street. Concert patrons may purchase snacks and drinks to enjoy during the concert. The concert is free and open to the public.
