Mercy Health Systems Officials Address Supply Chain Management Classes

Officials from Mercy Health Systems of Northwest Arkansas talked to supply chain management classes, met with administrators and got a tour of the campus when they visited the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas recently.

Eric Pianalto, president; Vance Moore, senior vice president of operations and resource optimization and innovation; and Marc Gunter, senior vice president and chief operations officer of clinics; visited to share their expertise with students and learn more about innovations at the Walton College.

The three met with Dean Matt Waller; Anne O'Leary-Kelly, senior associate dean; Alan Ellstrand, associate dean; Meredith Adkins, corporate outreach director of the college's career center; and Erin Duncan, assistant director of development for the College of Education and Health Professions before talking to supply chain strategy classes taught by Sebastian Garcia-Dastugue, clinical assistant professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management.

Pianalto graduated from the Walton College in 1989; Moore is a 1984 graduate of Walton College, and Gunter graduated from the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences in 1989. 

Gunter's son Adam is a Walton College student; Moore's daughter Megan is a nursing student at the U of A, and Pianalto's son Brooke is a marketing student.
