Get Tickets This Week for Panama, the Bridge of the Business World
Agro-Panama International Organization invites students to attend "Panama, The Bridge of the Business World," at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development. Tickets are free for students, but students will need to pick up a ticket before the event.
Students can get their free tickets from 2-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 13-14, at the Arkansas Union Food Court.
"Panama, The Bridge of the Business World" will promote cultural and business education based on Panama as an international country. Students can learn a new perspective of business and culture of a developing world that connects the business community through a waterway and a successful banking zone. Guest speaker Jaime Figueroa Navarro will talk about his experience in the business field as a part of a developing country that has a strong economy within Latin American countries. He will discuss agro-business topics which can provide a better understanding of the relation between global market and agriculture.
Navarro has published hundreds of articles in periodicals in Argentina, England, Germany, Panama, Spain, U.S., and Vietnam. Widely respected in Latin America and the Caribbean, Figueroa-Navarro is a Knight of the Royal Order of Guadalupe, Patron Saint of Spain and an honorary member of the prestigious Cercle de la Mer Society, in Paris, France. He has served several terms as Tourism Committee chair at the American Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Commission president and a member of the Board of Directors of the Panama Business Executives Association.
This event is supported by the Student Activities as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
