Early Career Writing Workshop Set

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Economic Development is hosting a writing workshop aimed at helping junior faculty compete successfully for National Science Foundation, Air Force and Department of Energy programs. All junior faculty eligible for career opportunities, typically defined as tenure-track faculty in their first five years, are encouraged to participate. The workshop is set for 1:30-4:45 p.m. April 5 in the Walton College of Business, WJWH 501s.

The NSF's CAREER program identifies, fosters and supports the nation's most promising junior faculty in both research and education.

The Air Force's Young Investigator Program supports creative, basic research in science and engineering, enhances early-career development of outstanding young investigators, and increases opportunities for young investigators to recognize the Air Force mission and related challenges in science and engineering.

The DOE's Early Career Research Program supports the development of individual research programs of outstanding scientists early in their careers and stimulates research careers in the disciplines supported by the DOE Office of Science.
