Apply Now for Teaching Camp 2017

The Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for Teaching Camp 2017 to be held Aug. 6-8, at The Lodge at Mount Magazine.

Engaging Students to Increase Learning

The speaker will be Jay Howard, a professor of sociology and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Butler University in Indianapolis. Howard's interests range from the scholarship of teaching and learning to religion and popular culture. Teaching publications include, Class Discussion: From Blank Stares to True Engagement, and How Can I Use Discussion to Facilitate Student Learning. His most recent book is, Discussion in the College Classroom: Getting Your Students Engaged and Participating in Person and Online.
