An empty bottle of Razorback Ginger Ale and a tub of University Brand Rolled Oats from the first half of the 20th century.

Back before the university placed trademarks on the various images and phrases that symbolize the University of Arkansas, you might as easily find a local bottler selling Razorback Special Dry Ginger Ale as a grocery company selling University Brand Rolled Oats with an image of Old Main on the label.

Both products were sold by companies with offices on Dickson Street during the first half of the 20th century.

Today, everything under the sun seeks a license to use the Razorback mascot to improve sales, well, everything but rolled oats, perhaps.
