The Arkansas Alumni Association is pleased to announce the Student Alumni Board Executive Team for 2017. The Student Alumni Board serves as the board of directors for the Student Alumni Association.

The Student Alumni Association is the student membership program established by the Arkansas Alumni Association. Created by students in 2003, the association was designed to inspire loyalty, preserve University of Arkansas traditions and establish the bond between students and alumni. Originally called R.E.A.L. Razorbacks, this organization grew out of the Student Alumni Board, established in 1996.

The Student Alumni Association is “The Student Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association.” Over the last year, the chapter has grown to more than 4,500 members, making it the largest student organization on campus.

President

Ashlyn Smith

Ashlyn is a junior originally from Houston who now resides in Harrisburg, Arkansas. She is majoring in social work. This past year, she was vice president of administration on SAB. She also serves on various positions within Zeta Tau Alpha and the Volunteer Action Center.

Vice President of Board Development

Regan Burgess

Regan is a junior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, majoring in biology/pre-med. This past year, she served as co-director of member recruitment on SAB. She is also an Honors College Ambassador, a member of the Black Students Association and vice president of the Mortar Board Honor Society.

Vice President of Programming

Brooke Taylor

Brooke is a junior from King City, California, majoring in agriculture business, agriculture communications and political science on a pre-law track. This past year, she served as assistant director of Homecoming volunteers. She serves on campus as vice president of Sigma Alpha and the experiential lab coordinator within Bumpers College.

Vice President of Sponsorships

Daniel Shimer

Daniel is a junior from Fayetteville majoring in finance. This past year, he served on the SAB Sponsorship team. Daniel also serves as the Warden/Judicial board for Sigma Alpha Epsilon and was a walk-on wide receiver on the football team his freshman year.

Vice President of Marketing

Manny Mejia

Manny is a sophomore from Springdale majoring in supply chain management. This past year, he served on the SAB marketing team, expanding its Twitter presence. He also serves on various positions within Associated Student Government, is an intern for Tyson and is a LAS Scholar.

Vice President of Member Recruitment

Luke Humphrey

Luke is a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, majoring in biology/pre-med. This past year, he was the Official BEAT Shirt chair on SAB. He also serves as a senator within ASG, co-president of the Booster Club and merchandise chair of Kappa Alpha Order.

Vice President of Member Engagement

Colman Betler

Colman is a sophomore from Plano, Texas, majoring in biology. This past year, he served as SAA Day chair on SAB. He serves as the vice president of SOOIE, Volunteer Action Center Food Pantry volunteer coordinator, and community service chair for Kappa Alpha Order.

Vice President of Homecoming

Nikki Anderson

Nikki is a sophomore from Fayetteville majoring in international business and economics. This past year, she was an assistant director of Homecoming. She also is a member of Phi Mu sorority, Leadership Walton and teaches dance at the Fayetteville Youth Dance Company.

Vice President of Traditions

Taylor Johnson

Taylor is a sophomore from Edmond, Oklahoma, majoring in criminal justice and legal studies. This past year, she served on the Traditions Committee on SAB. She serves as the vice president of Delta Gamma, Dream B.I.G. volunteer coordinator and has completed over 200 hours of community service since last August.

Vice President of Senior Experience

Emma Buckner

Emma is a sophomore from Pine Bluff majoring in biochemistry. This past year, she served on the Homecoming Steering Committee. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Honors College Ambassador and a Class-Plus tutor on biology, calculus and statistics.

Vice President of Alumni Relations

Matt Hansen

Matt is a junior from Fayetteville, majoring in agricultural business and economics. This past year, he served as the Official Ring Ceremony co-chair on SAB. He has served as the vice president of Phi Gamma Delta, secretary of the Agricultural Business Club and is a Bumpers College Ambassador.

About the Student Alumni Association: The Student Alumni Association offers an excellent opportunity for students to get involved and further their professional development skills. The Student Alumni Association oversees the University of Arkansas Homecoming Celebration, the Official Ring and the Senior Walk Dedication.
