Throwback Thursday
Jesse L. Cravens, the treasurer of Arkansas Industrial University, now known as the University of Arkansas, wrote out this receipt for D.W. Moore after Moore paid $5 to the Arkansas Industrial University for half of his tuition cost on Sept. 8, 1886. The university's curriculum included courses of study for bachelor's degrees in agriculture, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and classical studies as well as a few post-graduate courses. Today, the university offers more than 200 programs leading to bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. #UARKLife
