Razorbacks Offering Accountability Resources Hiring Students
The Razorbacks Offering Accountability Resources (ROAR) peer education group works collaboratively across campus to educate students on the effects and dangers of alcohol and drug use. ROAR programs work to help University of Arkansas students make more informed decisions regarding alcohol and drug use to reduce the risk for negative outcomes related to academic, legal, and social problems.
Job responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementation of AOD programs
- Creating and presenting relevant and engaging AOD presentations
- Weekly outreach and education tabling
- Create and manage social norm campaigns
- Marketing for AOD programs
- Provide education and serve as an on-campus resource
- Participate in all staff trainings and weekly meetings
- Conduct office hours for one-on-one peer wellness coaching
- Stay abreast on current AOD literature and trends on college campuses
- Collaborate with other Wellness Dept. members as needed
Application and interview process:
- Complete application
- Undergo one-on-one interview with AOD Director and GA
- Undergo group interview with current peer educator staff
Ideal candidates should
- Have a desire to help
- High internal motivation
- Basic knowledge of Alcohol and Other Drugs
- No conduct office violations
