For the first time in University of Arkansas history, the Accounting Department in the Walton College was invited to send a team to participate in the annual Audit Innovation Deloitte Challenge.

Only 32 institutions are invited from across the United States. Students are presented with a challenge statement and must develop a presentation on using analytics programs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial audits.

The University of Arkansas team consisted of juniors Adam Jones, Adia Threatt, Brittany Butler and McKensie Wages, and sophomores Taylor Atwell and Sam Johnson, led by faculty adviser Charles Leflar. The presentations took place at the Deloitte Atlanta offices on Nov. 28 and 29.
