Retirement Reception for Susan Yell

Walton College's Susan Yell retires after 40 years of service to the university.

After 40 years of exemplary service to the University of Arkansas, the Sam M. Walton College of Business and the Department of Economics, Susan Yell, the administrative support supervisor for the Department of Economics, has decided to retire. 

With a career that spans multiple faculty members and department chairs, one could argue that Susan has molded the modern Department of Economics. Every faculty member, past and present, can talk of times when Susan has been invaluable to the success of their efforts.  Susan's departure is going to leave a void in the hearts of the economics faculty and the department's operation that is going to be hard to fill.  

Never being one to seek attention, Susan has insisted that the annual economics and management holiday party serve as her retirement reception. The event will be from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, in the Hembree Room in Willard J. Walker Hall (WJWH 203).
