University General Education Core Curriculum Committee to Host Town-Hall Meetings

The University General Education Core Curriculum Committee will hold two town-hall meetings, each with the same agenda, from 3:30-5 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7, both in the Arkansas Union. The committee will present three questions for information and discussion:

• What is the current status of the University General Education Core Curriculum?
• What will the site visitors from the Higher Learning Commission want to know when they examine the General Education Core during the university's accreditation process next year?
• What are some other large, public, state universities doing with General Education to foster engagement and improve teaching and learning in the courses?
