USC Professor to Lecture on Museums as Classrooms

Gary Dean Painter, director of social policy at the Sol Price Center for Social Innovation at the University of Southern California, will give a lecture titled "Museums as Classrooms: The Academic and Behavioral Impacts of 'School in the Park' " at noon Friday, Dec. 2 on the University of Arkansas campus.

The lecture is part of the Department of Education Reform lecture series. RSVP online for lunch on the lecture website. Deadline to RSVP is 1 p.m. the Wednesday before the lecture.

Painter is also a professor in the School of Policy, Planning and Development at USC. His research interests focus on social innovation, housing, urban economics and education policy.

 He has published numerous articles in top journals such as Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Economics of Education Review and Harvard Business Review.
