Competitive Male Cyclists and Triathletes Needed for Cycling Study

Competitive male cyclists are wanted for a cycling study that involves three cycling trials over three weeks with $175 compensation.

The Hydration Science Lab at the University of Arkansas is now enrolling for a new study to evaluate the effects of fluid administration on hydration during a criterium-style cycling protocol. This study will take place over the course of 3 weeks' time and require that you visit the lab on a total of 4 occasions.

For participation you will receive;

  1. VO2 Max Test
  2. Body composition determination by "DXA scan"
  3. Knowledge of your personal hydration status
  4. Cycling time trial performance (Watts, W/kg ratios, pedal stroke performance)
  5. $175 compensation

This study is conducted under the direction of Stavros Kavouras, PhD. The protocol has been approved by the University of Arkansas Institutional Review Board (IRB) for human subjects in research.
