U of A Staff Senate Accepting Part-Time Employee Award Nominations Nov. 9-23

Faculty and staff of the University of Arkansas are encouraged to nominate part-time employees for the Staff Senate Part-Time Employee Award, in recognition of outstanding service to the university.

Who can be nominated?

Any non-faculty staff employee who is either appointed staff with appointments less than 100 percent or an hourly employee working no more than 1,250 hours in one fiscal year is eligible. Students, non-students and graduate assistants are eligible for nomination.

Part-time and hourly staff employees, including students who are not receiving federal work-study assistance, are eligible for the award. A peer, co-worker, supervisor, or faculty member must nominate the employee. Self-nominations are not accepted.

All nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

The winner is selected by members of the Staff Senate Awards committee based on the nominee's contributions to the department and the university, as well as a willingness to exceed job requirements.
