Human Resources Announces Open Enrollment and the UA Benefits Fair

Open enrollment for health, dental and vision insurance plans and flexible spending accounts began Nov. 1 and ends Nov. 30. During this period, employees can enroll in or add dependents to their UA health, dental and vision plans. You can also cancel coverage, delete dependents, change your health care election between Classic and Point of Service, change your vision insurance election between Basic and Enhanced and change your premium status between after tax and tax-exempt.

No action is required if you do not want to make any changes to your health, dental and vision plans.

Open enrollment is also the time to enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care Reimbursement and Dependent Care Reimbursement) for 2017. Remember, annual enrollment for Flexible Spending Accounts is required.

Notices have been distributed to employees by U.S. mail and by email. All open enrollment changes are effective Jan. 1, 2017. Enrollments can be done via webBASIS. No enrollments or changes will be accepted after Nov. 30. For more information see the "Open Enrollment" section of Human Resources website (click on Open Enrollment under HR QuickFind). Dependent documentation is required for dependents being newly added to the health, dental and vision plans. Documentation is not required for dependents currently covered.

The UA Benefits Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Arkansas Union, rooms 507-511. Come and talk to your insurance and retirement vendors, Human Resources Staff and other UA campus departments. Get your flu shot. Door prizes and food. Join us for lunch — hot dogs served from noon through 1 p.m. See Human Resources website (click on University Benefits Fair under HR QuickFind).
